候选人 学术奖学金 must exhibit excellence in academics and should have completed the entire application process. We offer one full-tuition scholarship with a variety of additional merit-based scholarships.  

• Self-portrait pencil drawing (mandatory)
• Still-life colored pencil drawing
• Landscape acrylic painting
• 水彩画
• Mixed media abstract collage
• Ceramic sculpture and/or pottery
• A domestic craft such as knitting, sewing, quilting, etc.
• 版画
• 摄影

All 艺术 Scholarship portfolio submissions must be uploaded to the 招生 Portal by Friday, 10月6日, 2023.

面试要求:

• Major and harmonic minor scales and arpeggios (up to and including 4 sharps and 4 flats) to be performed at a comfortable tempo and in at least two octaves.
•  A Bach invention or comparable Baroque selection.
• The first movement of a sonata or higher-level sonatina by Clementi, Mozart, Haydn, or Beethoven
• A representative selection from 18th, 19th, or 20th centuries.
• A short passage will be selected for sight-reading at the audition.

*Prior experience accompanying for school and church choirs, or for school musical productions is a plus!

NOTE: No 钢琴 method books are permitted for the auditions. (i.e. Faber方法)

直言不讳的

面试要求:

• 直言不讳的 exercises to display technique, intonation, and range.
• A memorized selection from the 24 Italian Songs and Arias songbook or classical art song.
• A contrasting classical musical theater selection.

*Students will be asked to demonstrate their aural skills by listening to short melodic phrases and singing them back with correct pitch and rhythm.

NOTE: An accompanist will be provided and students must bring a clean accompaniment. No a cappella auditions or track accompaniment will be permitted.

• 3 major scales from the following: G, D, A, F, Bb, Eb.
• Two contrasting pieces from the traditional repertoire, appropriate to your particular instrument, that demonstrate your level of technical proficiency and musicianship. Pieces should include works from: Baroque, 经典, 浪漫的, 当代, or Jazz musical literature.

*A short passage will be selected for sight-reading.

The 女校友 Association of Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School funds a scholarship that is open to prospective freshman students with 家族性 relationships to graduates or current students of Gwynedd. The scholarship honors the traditions of Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School and the work of the 女校友 Association in supporting and enhancing those traditions. 除了, an important goal of the 遗产奖学金 is to assist an incoming freshman student who might otherwise be unable to attend Gwynedd.

One 遗产奖学金 will be available for award to an incoming member of the freshman class who is accepted by the 招生 Office.

To be considered for the 遗产奖学金, an applicant must:

• 有一个 家族性 relationship to a graduate(s) or current student(s) of Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School (i.e. child, sibling, grandchild, stepchild, niece, or cousin).

• 提交填妥的 遗产奖学金 Application and a letter of recommendation from one of the applicant’s grade school teachers, to the Gwynedd 招生 Office. Applications are due to the 招生 Office by 2023年9月28日.

After applications are submitted and reviewed, some applicants may be asked to complete an 面试 with members of the 女校友 Association’s Scholarship Committee.

If selected, 遗产 Scholars must commit to perform a minimum of twenty (20) hours of 服务活动 on behalf of the Gwynedd Advancement Office during each academic year, along with several other requirements, such as maintaining good grades, providing leadership among peers, and demonstrating good character in the Mercy Spirit.

Student who are passionate about and choosing to pursue a career in 阀杆 (S科学, T工艺参数, E恢复工程, Math) are encouraged to apply for our 阀杆 Scholarship.

The 阀杆 Scholarship will be awarded to 2 students in the Class of 2028. The recipients of the 阀杆 Scholarship will receive automatic entry into the Innovation Scholars program. As a recipient of the 阀杆 Scholarship, students' course loads will be 阀杆-focused and they will have the opportunity to develop and execute a capstone research project on the topic of their choice over their sophomore, 初级 & 高级年. Students will also work with our 阀杆 Faculty in securing externships in their fields of interest. 

阀杆 Scholarship recipients will be required to maintain a designated general average over the course of each year and adhere to the Innovation Scholars program requirements, which includes a capstone project and digital portfolio that aligns with the 阀杆 topic about which they are most passionate.
